Dedicated to the homeless, hungry,
and forgotten cats of Maui
10-29-21 GREAT NEWS! Save Maui Cats helped send 10 desperate kittens to forever homes on the mainland. This is our program’s maiden voyage and we’re hoping to send many more in the future.
Resources for cats on Maui are limited and most struggle to survive but thanks to Captain Adam Townley-Wren, Good Cat Network president Amber Star Naramore, Aloha Air Cargo, and a group of dedicated volunteers, these lucky kittens are on their way to a better life. Thank you, this couldn’t have happened without you.
GET INVOLVED! Donations and fosters are needed more than ever so that we may keep up with this incredible program and continue to help save the cats and kittens of Maui.
Thank you!
Save Maui Cats is a volunteer based, non-profit rescue, dedicated to the island's homeless, hungry and forgotten cats.
It's hard to imagine that a paradise as beautiful as Maui has thousands of starving and neglected cats and kittens struggling to survive in its jungles and beaches, on its streets and in its neighborhoods. Sadly, most kittens don't survive their first year. But Save Maui Cats is here to help!
Follow Michael Willinsky as he endeavors to feed 300 cats in this SHORT VIDEO!
We provide food and water to hundreds of grateful cats every day while helping to trap, transport, spay, neuter and vaccinate hundreds more. We are actively decreasing the number of homeless cats on Maui, by:
Just this year alone, we've trapped and helped fix over 200 of the island's homeless cats. These are the lucky ones who, while still living on the streets, have a committed volunteer who brings them food and fresh water every day. These cats have a chance at life without burdening the community with more unwanted kittens. To donate cat food, flea medicine and other contributions, please visit More Ways To Give.
SPAYING AND NEUTERING IS THE ANSWER
There are tens of thousands of cats and kittens on this island that still need to be fixed - and who are counting on us for their survival. Although we are a small group of volunteers, we are dedicated and strong. And we are making a big difference.
We're proud of our accomplishments but we need your help!
Supporting Save Maui Cats' efforts will help put an end to Maui's cat overpopulation, ensuring a brighter future for everyone.
All donations are tax deductible.

TNRM, otherwise known as 'Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage' is the only humane, effective approach for homeless cats. A group of healthy, fixed cats living harmoniously together is known as a "colony." Colony cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and eartipped (the universal symbol of a fixed and vaccinated cat), and then returned to their outdoor home where a caretaker provides regular food, water and shelter. Socialized cats and kittens are adopted into homes.
As a result, the colony’s population stabilizes—no more unwanted kittens! Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage improves their lives and their relationship with the community: behaviors and stresses associated with mating stop.
We're so glad you asked!
We're always looking for animal lovers to join our team. Whether you can volunteer for an hour a week or you can give more, we can definitely use your help!

What a great feeling it is to feed a hungry cat. Their sincere appreciation and gratitude can help us to feel a little bit better about our place in the world. But what if we take that one step further? If we were to get those same cats spayed and neutered, it would significantly reduce cat overpopulation in our neighborhoods. The few, happy, well fed fixed cats would be able to live out their lives peacefully without burdening the community with litters of unwanted kittens.

We're here to help. Contact us if you'd like assistance with humane trapping and no-cost spay and neuter services. We can also help you set up a shelter and feeding station for the grateful cats in your neighborhood!
Help us feed a colony of cats near you! Bringing food and water to some very grateful kitties will only take a few minutes in the evening. We can even provide the food! Or if you prefer, you can always help us trap homeless cats so they can get fixed. It's humane, good for everyone, and we'll teach you how.
WHY KILLING CATS IS NOT THE ANSWER
We know we keep posting this story, we’re just so grateful to everyone who participated in making it such a success! For the kittens who were rescued, it makes all the difference in the world.
